their location. Are they professional, do they give you a high
comfort level?
- Does the contractor belong to industry associations
that work to further skill and professionalism of the industry
such as the Marble Institute of America and the Stone Fabricators
Association?
- Can the contractor supply you with a certification
of insurance issued by a reputable insurance company?
- Does the
contractor guarantee his work and for how long?
- Does the contractor
get the majority of new work from referrals?
- Does the contractor
have in his customer base major custom builders and large retail
chains such as Lowe’s and Home
Expo?
- Are the Installers employees of the company or independent
contractor’s?
- Can the contractor assist you in your color
selections?
- Does the contractor use only grade “A” stone
and not commercial grade?
- Can the contractor supply or assist
you in selecting a sink that will properly fit in to your cabinet
base?
- Can the contractor guide you in faucet selection to assure
that the spread and handle clearances are proper for your job?
- Can
the contractor assist you in defining locations and size of any “special” holes
that you may want such as for a computer, TV, or telephone cables?
- Does
the contractor offer a full range of edge profiles?
- If you want
special corner treatments, will the contractor be able to design
and fabricate them?
- Can the contractor assist you in defining
support needed for special overhang requirements?
- Can the contractor
provide you with the services of a project manager that will
assist you in every step of the project?
